How to Check AirPods Battery Status
Airpods themselves do not display the battery level and need to be checked through devices such as iPhone, iPad, iWatch, etc.
Apple's AirPods earphones offer about 20 hours of listening time or talk time on a single charge when you enable active noise cancellation and spatial audio features. If you place the AirPods in their smartphone case for five minutes, you can get enough power for about 1.5 hours of listening time.
During use, you'll hear a tone when the AirPods Max battery is at 10%, and then a second tone when the battery is running out. But you don't have to wait for these tones to know how much power is left. Here are a few ways you can keep an eye on the battery life of your AirPods.
How to Check AirPods Maximum Charge Status
The status light on the right ear cup shows the charging status of the AirPods. If you press the Noise Control button while connected to a power source, the status indicator turns green if more than 95% of the battery remains, and turns amber if less than or equal to 95% of the battery remains.
If you press the noise control button when the AirPods are not connected to a power source, the status indicator light will turn green if there is more than 15% battery remaining, and will turn amber if there is less than or equal to 15% battery remaining.
How to Check AirPods Charge Status on iPhone or iPad
When you take your AirPods Max out of their smartphone case, their charging status should appear on the screen of your iPhone or iPad. You can also check the charging status of your AirPods using the Batteries widget in the Today View of your iPhone or iPad, which you access by swiping right on the Lock screen or the first screen of the Home screen app.
If you haven't installed it yet, you can manually add the Batteries widget. To do this, go into the Today view, scroll to the bottom of the widget column, and press the Edit button. Then, just tap the green plus button next to Batteries in the list and tap Done in the top right of the screen.
How to View AirPods on Apple Watch Charge Status
You can check the battery level of your AirPods from your wrist, whether they’re paired to your iPhone or directly to your Apple Watch.
To do this, open Control Center on your Apple Watch: swipe up on the watch face, or press the bottom edge of the screen in an app and drag Control Center up. Then tap the Apple Watch battery icon, represented as a percentage. The battery level of your AirPods Max will be displayed as a ring below the Apple Watch battery percentage.
